Privacy
What data Colorinche keeps, why and for how long. No fine print.
What everyone sees
The photo, its title, the description if you wrote one, the place and the point on the map (approximate, if you chose that). Also your alias and name, unless you post anonymously. The published photo carries no hidden data: before uploading it we remove the GPS location and camera details.
The security record
For every photo uploaded, anonymous ones included, we separately keep, without showing it: the IP address, the browser and device, the camera details from the original file (make, model, date and GPS location) and a digital fingerprint of the photo. We use it only to investigate abuse and illegal content, and to answer requests from a competent authority. It's never shown on the site or sold.
Posting anonymously
We hide your name from everyone who uses Colorinche. The security record is still kept, as for any photo.
How long
The security record deletes itself after 90 days. If the photo was reported or we removed it for breaking the rules, we keep it as evidence for as long as needed. Photos you delete disappear right away; we keep a hidden copy for safety.
Your account
If you create an account we keep your email and what you put in your profile (alias, name, city and description). If you post without an account, your browser stores a random identifier to recognize you; if you clear it, we can't give those photos back to you.
If you sign in with Google
If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares only your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your account, sign you in and show your name on your photos if you choose to. We don't ask for access to your contacts, Gmail, files or anything else in your Google account. We don't sell this data, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising or to train artificial intelligence. Colorinche's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Colorinche's access at any time from your Google account settings.
What we use your data for
To show your photos on the map, sign you in, let you know when something happens with your photos, check that content follows the rules, and protect the site from abuse. We don't build advertising profiles or sell data to anyone.
Who helps us
Supabase stores the database and the photos; Vercel serves the site; OpenAI automatically checks every photo and its text; Cloudflare confirms you're a person; Google, only if you sign in with Google. Some of these services are outside your country, in the United States.
Cookies
Only the ones needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking analytics.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Some security-record data may be kept while there's a report or legal request about that photo.
Deleting your account
You can delete your photos from your gallery at any time. To delete your account and your data, email us from your account's address and we'll do it within 30 days. We only keep what the law or an open report requires us to keep.
Children
Colorinche isn't aimed at children under 14. If you're younger, use it with your family's permission. If we learn that an account belongs to a child without permission, we delete it.
Who is responsible, and changes
Colorinche is an independent project made in Peru and is responsible for your data under Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Ley 29733). If we change this policy, we update the date below and, if the change is significant, we let you know on the site.
For any request about your data, write to [email protected].
